Client Profile The Campaign Legal Center, headed by Trevor Potter, former chairman of the Federal Election Commission and general counsel to Senator McCain's 2000 presidential campaign, is a non-profit organization which is playing a pivotal role in the political and legal battle over campaign finance.
The Center is a member of the legal team defending the future of campaign finance reform in the wake of challenges to the recent campaign reform law passed by Congress. The team includes Seth Waxman, former Solicitor General; Randy Moss, former Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Office of Legal Counsel; Roger Witten, Senior partner at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering and legal counsel in Buckley v. Valeo. The Challenge Create a web presence for the Center which would inform the public about the issues in the campaign finance reform debate and provide resources for other organizations litigating these issues in the public interest. - Developed logo, business cards, stationery, posters and report designs.
- Built a custom web site solution that provided the Center staff with a simple, intuitive way to update the site content on a daily basis with breaking news and legislative actions.
- Developed functionality to enable Center staff to upload reports, PDFs of legal documents, summaries of FEC proceedings and relevant news articles on its web site.
